Internationalization presents its own set of challenges. It directly interacts with the architecture and design of the software. Its purpose is to support both the localization of the product as well as the support of non-local data. While the requirements to meet the challenges of the localization process drive much of internationalization design and implementation, good internationalization architecture goes beyond.
